Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) Therapy
Non-invasive EECP therapy session designed to improve coronary blood flow.
About this service
Enhanced External Counter Pulsation Therapy
- Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) is a well-established, non-invasive treatment designed for patients with chronic angina (chest pain) who continue to have symptoms despite medications, coronary stents, or prior bypass surgery — or who are not good candidates for additional invasive procedures.
- EECP works by gently inflating and deflating specialized cuffs placed around the legs in synchronization with your heartbeat. This process increases blood flow back to the heart, improves circulation in the coronary arteries, and helps stimulate the development of natural bypass vessels (collateral circulation).
- EECP has been shown to reduce angina symptoms, improve exercise tolerance, and enhance quality of life. Many patients experience long-lasting benefits after completing a full course of therapy.
What to expect
EECP therapy has been performed in our office since 2007. Each session lasts about one hour, typically five days per week for several weeks. The therapy is comfortable, non-surgical, and does not require anesthesia or recovery time.
Advanced EECP technology synchronized with the heartbeat to enhance circulation.
